Prince of Tennis Doujinshi

These are the covers only. (Unless noted) I haven't scanned the contents. I will only scan a doujinshi if someone will translate it. So please don't ask me to give you a copy of what's inside. What you see here is what I have to share.
Notes:
Keep in mind that Cin cannot read Japanese (which is very frustrating, btw). Her understanding of these doujinshi is extremely limited. Thus, summaries suck and all ratings have the potential of going up once translations are obtained.
Rating on a scale of 1-5:
1 = Bleh. Wouldn’t mind selling it back.
2 = Has some redeeming qualities.
3 = Not bad, but not wonderful. Just ok.
4 = Quite nice.
5 = Gold, baby!

Doujinshi title: Request hour #1
Story title: Baby Blue

Summary: RyoSaku have a conversation on the steps of an outdoor stairwell. Sakuno and Tomoka talk in a classroom. Then RyoSaku again on a path on school grounds.
Art: Clean and simple. Nice body proportions. Faces seem a bit chubby, eyes a little different than the norm.
Yummy factor: Ryoma almost smiles. Cute Sakuno reactions.
Comments: Brownie points for including Tomoka! Ryoma’s expression is very neutral, so when he almost smiles, it’s a nice moment.
Rating: 3
Extra notes: Doujinshi also has other short stories with lots of miscellaneous characters like Arai and the ichinen trio. Characters from St. Rudolph, Fudomine and Yamabuki also make an appearance. This was the very first doujinshi I found in
Japan
, and coincidentally, the most expensive.

Doujinshi/Story title: Chamomile

Summary: Ryoma having his way w/ Sakuno, w/ lots of flashbacks.
Art: Very sketchy. Artist has her own flavor that is very unique, especially eyes and profile. The kind of art style that grows on you the more you see it.
Yummy factor: RyoSaku holding hands, cuddling in bed.
Comments: Lots of body contact. Kind of a sad feel to it, but a little heartwarming at the end.
Rating: 3.5 because it’s RyoSaku smut, and that automatically makes it better than average. ;)
Extra Notes: Though the rating is for 16 y/o and up, the art itself is not explicit; clothes remain on. Rating is either excessive or due to suggestive dialogue and/or content. I can’t really tell.

Doujinshi title: *Sweet* (??)

Comments: This doujinshi contains two short stories by two different artists. In both stories, Ryoma is portrayed as aggressive, domineering, lustful. Sakuno as shy and virginal. Since RyoSaku are wearing different uniforms, this probably takes place when they are in high school (which makes it more appropriate for all the naughty, naughty things Ryoma does to Sakuno, keke).
Rating: 5. Out of all my POT doujinshi, this is my favorite by far.

1st story
Story title: Sugar

Summary: A lemon. Ryoma invites/orders Sakuno over to his empty home, and proceeds to have his way with her.
Art: Wonderful. Soft, smudgy, lots of gradients. Maybe colored with Copic markers, not sure, but the shading is not just ink and screentones, that’s for sure.
Yummy factor: Lots. Devious Ryoma with devil horns. Lusty Ryoma’s intense expression. Ryoma being impatient, possessive, and up front with his sexual desire for Sakuno. Ryoma reading a book on slipknots.
Comments: Intimate and very explicit, but their feelings for each other are there. Very provocative and satisfying in terms of content, storyline, art, and emotion.
2nd story
Story title: ??

Summary: Lemony. RyoSaku in a classroom. Sakuno overhears something that makes her run away. Ryoma hunts her down and proceeds to get to third base.
Art: Sketchy, crisp line art. Not nearly as appealing, esp. when preceded by Pirahata-san’s gorgeous work. Hiro4’s version of Ryoma is a far cry from Konomi-sensei’s.
Yummy factor: Ryoma being aggressive (dude skips second base, *lol*). Ryoma pinning Sakuno to the ground and doing a whole bunch of naughty things to her.
Comments: Smutty. Intimacy is rushed. Unfulfilling for both reader and Ryoma compared to the first story (he probably would have hit a home run if Sakuno hadn’t fainted).

Doujinshi title: Love Pop

Summary: Two stories. In the main one titled, “Your Weight”, Sakuno faints due to the excessive heat. Ryoma tries to carry Sakuno to the nurse’s office, but fails because he’s not strong enough. Kikumaru does it instead. At the nurse’s office, Ryoma makes Sakuno a sweet promise that sends them both blushing. In the second story, Ryoma solicits Sakuno’s help in filling out a questionnaire.
Art: Sketchy but very nice.
Yummy factor: Ryoma when he’s being cheeky, honest or irate.
Comments: Pairings are RyoSaku and KikuTomo.
Rating: 5
Extra notes: This doujinshi has been scanlated and can be found in RLSP’s secret portal (which is the reason why I actually understand it, haha).

Summary: A collection of four Kaidoh x Tomoka stories.
Gokigen na Ichinichi: Tomoka is putting on her uniform. Outside, Kaidoh is waiting for her so they can walk to school together.
My Happiness Your Happiness: KaiTomo sitting on the floor of a bedroom. Tomoka is upset with Kaidoh, and throws a pillow at him. She starts to cry but he soothes her by touching her head and saying something that makes him blush. It ends with her hugging him.
One and Only: At school. Tomoka calls Kaidoh out of his classroom. They sit together on a bench and have a chat. He gets irritated and grumpy at her. She says something to make him blush and look away.
Kimi ha Shiranai: KaiTomo in a bedroom. Tomo is irate at Kaidoh for not showing her enough affection (??). When she falls asleep, he whispers in her ear/nuzzles her head/sniffs her hair (take your pick, lol) thinking the word ‘love’. He turns away, embarrassed for doing that. Tomoka’s back is towards him, and she’s blushing.
Art: Simple and clean line art. Different from Konomi-sensei’s art, but still cute. Nice expressions.
Yummy factor: All the grumpy, frowny, and blushy Kaidoh moments. ^o^
Comments: Kimi ha Shiranai is the cutest story out of them all. Lots of KaiTomo goodness there.
Rating: 4
Extra notes: This is the smaller sized doujinshi, about 6x8 inches. The normal sized doujinshi are about 7x10 inches.

Summary: Two RyoSaku lemons, one by each artist.
Story by Hiyototo: While at school, Sakuno runs away from Ryoma, crying. He catches up, drags her home, and slowly seduces her.
Story by Komochi: Ryoma is thinking about his rivals (mainly Hyotei and Tezuka) when Sakuno pops up. He proceeds to have (what looks like to me) very forceful sex with her. It ends sweetly though, with Sakuno leaning on Ryoma.
Art: Komochi’s art is on the front cover. Sketchy, messy, sharp line art. Hiyototo’s art is on the back cover. Her close ups are very pretty. Nice usage of screentones.
Yummy factor: The kiss scenes. ^o^
Comments: Rated for ages 15+. The positions. o.O That devious Ryoma. I guess he doesn’t like doing things conventionally. *googly eyed*
Rating: 3.5
Extra notes: I liked Hiyototo’s story more. It felt sweeter. And it may just be my prudish side, but a doujinshi like this should be rated higher. Clothes stay on for the most part (Ryoma’s anyways), and it’s not that explicit, but it’s explicit enough to warrant a higher rating, in my opinion.
